Dreaming By The River Bed & Breakfast

In Middle Tennessee only an hour from Nashville and two hours from Knoxville, Dreaming by the River is conveniently located on the Cumberland Plateau less than 5 miles from I-40. Our Bed and Breakfast provides our guests with a rural river setting near small-town comforts with easy access to big-city attractions.

From I40 Exit 258 at Gordonsville/Carthage:
•Go north (towards Carthage) on Hwy 53 for 4 miles
•Turn right onto TN 70N (towards Cookeville) for 150 yards.
•Turn left onto Gibbs Landing (first road on the left)
•We’re at 136 Gibbs Landing, at the roads end
(as of 6/20/2007 the Gibbs Landing Drive street sign is missing. When you turn onto TN 70N, you start up a hill. If you top the hill, you've gone too far - go only halfway. You will pass on the right, Frog's Landing with a sign for Overstreet Hughes and a farm pond prior to our turn to the left.)

From Knoxville, (Cookeville, or I75):
• Take I-40 West for 125 miles-To Exit 258 Gordonsville/Carthage

From Nashville, (Lebanon, Memphis or further west):
• Take I-40 East for 50 miles- to Exit 258 Gordonsville/Carthage

From Huntsville or Birmingham, Alabama:
• Take I-65 North to TN 840(just South of Franklin)
• Take TN 840 to I-40 East
• Take I-40 East for 20 miles to Exit 258 Gordonsville/Carthage

From Chattanooga (Atlanta, take I75 to I24 in Chattanooga):
• Take I-24 W to TN 840 (in Murfreesboro)
• Take TN 840 NE (towards Lebanon) to I-40 East
• Take I-40 East for 20 miles to Exit 258 Gordonsville/Carthage

From NW TN or areas of Kentucky, You may decide to intersect TN 25 (at 41 or 231, etc.) rather than going South to I40. TN 25 after Carthage & a bridge over the Cumberland River ends at the overpass over 70N (and the road becomes TN 53). Exit 25 onto 70N towards Cookeville. See directions at top for last .2 mile.
